Palace of Culture. I. Zhansugurova was built in 1962. In 1965, he was named after Ilyas Zhansugurov – a Kazakh Soviet poet, a classic of Kazakh literature, the first chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, a member of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks). In the building of the Palace of Culture there are: the Regional Philharmonic named after Suyunbay, the choir of veterans and the ensemble “Azheler”. The Palace of Culture hosts various concerts, charity events, beauty contests and regional exhibitions.
