On October 18, 2024, the tourist information center “Visit Zhetysu” held an information campaign at the International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation “Khorgos”. The purpose of the action was to familiarize Chinese tourists with the attractions of Zhetysu region and increase the popularity of tourist attractions in the region.

The year 2023 was declared the Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in the People’s Republic of China, which provided a great opportunity for Chinese residents to discover the beauty and hospitality of Kazakhstan, as well as to establish mutually beneficial cooperation. Chinese citizens can enter the Khorgos ICPS Khorgos without visas.

“XUAR ” is Kazakhstan’s key partner in China, accounting for about half of the trade turnover between the two countries. Expansion of interregional co-operation has considerable potential.

This process will become the basis for the development of business and trade through tourism, which in turn will increase the popularity of the region. The development of cross-border trade and investment cooperation will strengthen ties between the two countries and make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan-China relations.
