Airport

The city airport was built in 1946 and had a dirt runway. In 2004, the airport terminal building was reconstructed and equipped with modern technological and inspection equipment, with a capacity of 100 passengers per hour. The Semirechye air harbor accepts flights from Astana to Taldykorgan and Almaty to Taldykorgan. Flights are operated by the airline “Zhetysu” on the Yak-40 aircraft.
