Besshatyr mounds

The largest monument of the Early Iron Age is the royal burial mounds of Beshatyr, located under the Sholak Mountains and consisting of more than 31 large, medium and small mounds. The largest mound reached a diameter of 104 meters and a height of 18 meters. Large mounds were used to bury noble leaders, kings and rulers, medium mounds were built for famous warriors, heads of clans and nobility, and small mounds were used to bury ordinary warriors.
