Mausoleum “Kapal batyr”

Mausoleum “Kapal batyr” was erected near the village – it 80 kilometers from the Taldykorgan – Kapal highway, on the slopes of Mount Eshkiolmes in the Eskelda district of the Zhetisu region, which borders on the Aksu district. The last refuge of the batyr, white stone, with five sparkling domes, looks like a living expression of popular recognition.

Kapal batyr (1513-1606) – a prominent commander, associate of Tauekel Khan and Yesim Khan. Participated in the liberation of the Syrdarya Kazakh cities, and also defended the eastern borders of the Kazakh Khanate from the raids of the Dzungars. Now a settlement in the Zhetisu region, a well-known sanatorium, a river, a street and a canal in the city of Taraz, an aul in the Zhambyl district of the Zhambyl region, an avenue in the city of Shymkent are named after Kapal Batyr.
