Museum of War Glory is one of the museums located in the historical city of Zharkent.

The staff of the museum works in five areas, stipulated in the Statute of the museum. These are: research and collection, scientific-fond, mass-secularizing and publishing work.

The funds of the museum are filled with materials related to the ancient and glorious history of the region, items that reveal the hidden secrets of the past. The most interesting and valuable are presented in the halls: land from the battlefield, five types of weapons of national batyrs.

The main task of the museum is to familiarize people with the past history and present life of the region, to educate young people in patriotism and moral values. The exposition of the museum is divided chronologically into 4 halls:

Foyer – “Chronicle of Independence”. It tells about the heroic past of the region and the history of Panfilov district.

Hall I – Theme: “People’s batyrs of Zhetysu” is disclosed by materials and photos of glorious people’s batyrs.

The hall of the history of the Turkic Kaganate is represented by historical materials, revealing the history of the formation of the Turkic statehood, the founders of the Kaganate.

ІІ hall “Formation of the Kazakh Khanate”. This hall presents weapons and armor of national batyrs, made by a local master, jeweler Daulet Shokparov – a club, a bow and arrow, a shield, and others. Here are items and materials about the batyrs who participated in battles with the Dzungars. The next section: history of Zhetysu in the Soviet period. Presented here are materials of participants of the Afghan war, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous personalities of Independent Kazakhstan.

III- hall – Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War. This hall presents photos and documents of participants of the Great Patriotic War – natives of Zhetysu.

Adults – 300 tg.

For schoolchildren – 200 tg.

Students – 250 tg.

Free of charge services are provided to veterans of World War II, disabled warriors of the Afghan War, disabled children and orphans.
