Monument “Bakhtybai Zholbarysuly”

The monument “Baktybay Zholbarysuly” is made of bronze by sculptor Yesken Sergeyebaev, the author of famous monuments to M. Auezov, N. Tlendiev, and is installed on a pedestal of red granite in the park of Karabulak.
Baktybay Zholbarysuly is a Kazakh akyn (bard), zhyrshy (narrator). From a young age, he became famous for his poetic talent. A song contest with Tezek-tore made him famous in Zhetysu . He knew and performed many works of Kazakh heroic epic, composed poems in the spirit of folk epic traditions, and participated in aitys (poetic contests).
