The sculptor of the monument “Ilias Zhansugirov”

The sculptor of the monument “Ilias Zhansugirov” T. Dosmagambetov, the architect – T. Eraliev, V. Sidorov. The monument is set on two large stones. I. Zhansugurov sits on a stone with crossed legs and one hand on his knee. On the right side of the monument, a scene from I. Zhansugurov’s poem “Kulager” is depicted on a stone. On the wall, the heroes of his works seem to be thinking a mystery.

Ilyas Zhansugurov (1894-1938) – poet, a classic of Kazakh literature. He participated in the preparation of textbooks for schools, engaged in literary criticism, literary translation, preparation for publication of works of Kazakh folklore. His poem «Kulager» became a classic of Kazakh literature. Zhansugurov translated into Kazakh language works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov, Gorky.
