From February 19 to 21, the Visit Zhetysu Tourist Information Center organized an informational tour, “Fishing Tourism on Lake Alakol,” aimed at developing a sustainable and eco-friendly tourism industry.

The event focused on promoting fishing tourism while preserving the region’s natural heritage. Well-known travel bloggers, including @travelove100, @alimbek_ulan, @abylai_khan_traveler, @sabyrassel, @kzwaits, @nazanchik, @zhaasullan, @armashkaa, @daks_travel, @plotnikov.kz and @daniyeliv, were invited to participate.

Special attention was given to the winter potential of Lake Alakol. Participants visited the @alakolkaratas recreation area, which operates year-round and accommodates over 20 tourists in winter. They also explored the opportunities for fishing tourism in the region.

This tour marked an important step in developing the local tourism industry, opening new opportunities for attracting visitors and promoting winter activities. As part of the tour, bloggers created unique video content to help popularize fishing tourism across Kazakhstan.
